Please contribute to the 24 Hours of Innovation event!
April 29th, 2009

Beginning at 10 am CET (4 am EDT) on Friday, May 15, the Board of Innovation will be hosting its 24 Hours of Innovation Event. As an innovation blogger, I have been invited to contribute a post with “my half time pep talk for 2009” discussing where we are with innovation right now, and where we need to go in the remaining months of the year. The event organizers have assigned me 8:30 am EDT on May 15 as the time to publish my post, so please mark your calendars. (Just kidding.)
The P.I. Blog is about innovation and it is about associations, so my post will focus on the connection between those two ideas. It’s no secret that I believe our community must be more proactive in its approach to innovation. As I prepare to write my post, however, I’d really like your input on the following question:
What should we be doing to make innovation a more significant strategic priority in associations and in our community as a whole?
As always, I welcome any and all thoughtful responses to this question, especially from current association executives. If you can post your comments by Friday, May 8, that will give me some time to think about your ideas as I prepare my post. I look forward to a powerful conversation!
