It is an extraordinary pleasure for me to announce that association community thought leader Jason Della Rocca is affiliating with Principled Innovation LLC as Executive Advisor. Jason will collaborate with me on consulting projects with associations in the areas of strategy, innovation and governing. Welcome Jason!
When I first met him a few years ago, Jason’s divergent perspectives on association management and leadership resonated with me right away. He brings keen insight, refreshing candor and a bit of irreverence to the manner in which he questions our community’s legacy mindsets and methods. When I learned of his departure from IGDA, I was hopeful he would be interested in affiliating with P.I.
I’m very excited to be working with both Jason and Ben Martin, P.I.’s Architect of Participation, on the challenge of helping association leaders reinvent their organizations for the 21st century. We look forward to working with you.
Jason’s Bio
Jason Della Rocca is Executive Advisor for Principled Innovation LLC, and will advise clients on issues of strategy, innovation and governing. After leading the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) to 3000% member growth over the span of nine years, Jason left his position as IGDA’s Executive Director in early 2009 to found Perimeter Partners, a consultancy focused on helping organizations successfully navigate the game industry ecosystem and maximize their efforts in the interactive digital entertainment sector.
Jason was the first recipient of The Ambassador Award at the 8th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards, in recognition of his tireless efforts to build the game industry. He continues to be a passionate advocate for the expressive power of games and social technologies, and their capacity to change the world.
A member of ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership, Jason is a guest blogger on ASAE & The Center’s award-winning Acronym blog. He has been an author for Associations Now magazine, and a speaker at several ASAE & The Center conferences.
