Important announcement and reminders

September 21st, 2008

Happy Sunday!  As the week gets started, just a few quick but important announcements and reminders:

+If you’re in DC this Wednesday, September 24, I hope you’ll consider attending the Social Media Club-DC’s monthly meeting where I will be speaking on the results of the Association Social Technologies survey project and moderating a panel on the use of social technologies in the association/non-profit sector.  The evening’s other speakers are:

Qui Diaz, Director of Strategy, Livingston Communications
Peter Hutchins, Vice President of Knowledge Initiatives, ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership
Carie Lewis, Internet Marketing Manager, The Humane Society of the U.S.

The session will take place at Fleishman-Hillard, 1615 L Street, N.W. beginning at 6 pm.  To learn more, you can visit the Facebook event page or e-mail Larissa Fair, SMC-DC coordinator, at larissa@livingstonbuzz.com.

+Speaking of the AST project, there is still time to ask your questions about social technologies that we can answer in the full report, which will be released next month.  Please submit your questions no later than Monday, September 29.  By asking a question, you can also request to receive notification of discounted pre-publication pricing for the full report.

+Let me also invite you to cast your votes on the questions you would like me to write about as part of the Embracing the Revolution book project.  Please vote no later than Wednesday, October 1.

Thanks for participating face-to-face, virtually or both.  And look forward to more posts, including two brand-new P.I. podcasts, this week!
