Join The Facebook Effect Group!
April 19th, 2008
On May 29, I will be presenting a session called, “The Facebook Effect: Association Membership in the Age of Social Networks,” at ASAE & The Center’s Marketing & Membership Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. I hope you will be able to attend the conference, and participate in my session.
To bring a different set of perspectives to this presentation, I have created The Facebook Effect Group, and I invite all P.I. Blog readers to join the group and engage in the dialogue that has already begun. You must have a Facebook account to the join the group, so if you haven’t already set one up, the link above will take you to a login page where you can establish your account.
All members of The Facebook Effect Group are welcome to post videos on the group page sharing thoughts about their FB experiences and why they are a part of the FB phenomenon. My plan is show some of the more imaginative and funny videos during my presentations of The Facebook Effect, beginning on May 29. You can watch the video invitation I posted below:
My advice is to keep your videos short and sweet. It’s fine if you want to speak into a Web cam directly from Facebook, or if you want to record something out in the world that you post later. Either way, I’m looking for compelling stuff that really captures why you choose to be a part of Facebook. Creative, funny and succinct is the recipe for success!
I look forward to watching your videos and to see you in The Facebook Effect Group. Let’s have some fun!
If you're new here, I hope you will consider subscribing to the P.I. Blog. Just click on this link to add it to your RSS reader. You can also receive e-mail updates by subscribing via the box located on the blog itself. Thanks for visiting!
