My forthcoming series of Google posts
March 20th, 2008

It’s the first day of spring, a fact that by itself lifts my spirits. (The image you see above is Google’s doodle commemorating this highly auspicious occasion!) But today I’m even more excited about the lead story in the April issue of Harvard Business Review, which is all about Google’s approach to innovation.
The article, written by Babson professors Bala Iyer and Thomas H. Davenport, is called, “Reverse Engineering Google’s Innovation Machine.” I’ve skimmed it, and I already see many ideas we can apply to the work of innovation in associations. So next month, following some travel and other commitments in the first ten days, I’m going to write a series of posts about the concepts presented in the article, and I will try to connect the dots with ideas and insights from other blog posts about Google I’ve read recently.
If there are particular questions about Google’s innovation work that you would like me to discuss in these posts, please let me know by sharing a comment below. And stay tuned for the series coming up in just a few weeks!
