Sydney bound

Sydney Harbor Bridge

In a few hours, I will be leaving for Sydney, where I will be one of the keynote speakers for the Associations Forum National Conference. The keynote talk is on Wednesday morning, and I am also participating on two panels. In addition, I have family there on my father’s side, so I will have the chance to spend some time with them, which will be really great. They are wonderful people.

I took this photo of the Sydney Harbour Bridge when I was in Australia two years ago. This will be my third trip to Oz. Sydney is a beautiful city, my most favorite in the whole world, but it takes a very long time to get there from the east coast of the United States–more than 24 hours door-to-door. So, while I am looking forward to my visit, I am somewhat dreading the trip.

As you can imagine, blogging will stop for the next couple of days, but I plan to pick up again next week once I’ve settled in a bit. In the interim, here is a link to a webcam pointing back toward the Sydney skyline from the direction of the bridge. Check it out and see if you can spot me!
