Ungovernance article now online
August 4th, 2007
My article on The Ungovernance Model, which appears in this month’s issue of Associations Now, is available online. Please let me know your reactions to the piece, including (and especially) the dissenting opinions. The purpose of the article is to start a discussion about how we change our mindset about stewardship in order bring associations fully into the 21st century. Associations are long overdue to make innovation a top priority, but our legacy approaches to governance continue to frustrate the pursuit of innovation. We can no longer tolerate this condition. The time for a radical shift in thinking is right now.
I hope you will join me on Tuesday, August 14 at 9 am for my Annual Meeting session on ungovernance, and be sure to download the handout for the session. Check your onsite program for the room number!
