Very proud to serve!

June 5th, 2007

Last week, I was notified of my nomination to serve a three-year term on The Center for Association Leadership Board of Directors. Although I shared this wonderful news with many of my close friends and colleagues almost immediately after getting the word, I thought it best not to post anything here until the press release announcing all of the nominated officers and directors was released, which happened today.

Serving the association community in this way has been a goal of mine for several years. To be given the opportunity to serve is both an extraordinary honor and a humbling responsibility that I accept with boundless enthusiasm and a profound sense of possibility for the future. I am so grateful for this chance to make a difference in the long-term direction of a community that has given me so much over many years.

Final approval of new The Center officers and directors will take place at the end of the month, and my term officially begins in August. I will keep P.I. Blog readers informed as this exciting new adventure unfolds in the coming months!

Jeff, you are one of the association community’s most dedicated servants. You are very worthy of the honor. Congratulations!
