We need 8 more people!
May 6th, 2007
Boy, it’s been busy the last ten days, but I want to remind everyone that we need 8 more people to register for the Association Social Media Unconference on June 5 in order for us to move forward. Please join us!
I want to thank everyone who has already signed up, and I’d like to make a special request of the other consultants and business partners who are planning to participate. I propose that each of us make a voluntary commitment to recruit at least one association executive to attend the unconference. It’s important that we keep the focus of this free learning event on how associations can apply social media tools and ways of thinking to their work. Anything we can do to encourage our association staff colleagues to be with us will help create a richer experience for everyone.
If you think you can be with us on June 5, I encourage you to register this week. If we reach 25 people by Friday, it will be a go. Thanks for your help in continuing to spread the word!

Hi Jeff,
I know it’s early here in CO, but I was unable to find the actual meatspace location of the unconference…? I assume that because you’re in Reston that it’s there, but can you confirm?
Thanks, and love the blog!

Jesse, thanks for your comment. We are holding the unconference at the Marriott Learning Complex in Washington, DC, and I have added a link to the main page of the wiki with additional information.
