Innovation Bloggers Virtual Forum on April 26
March 12th, 2007
“Innovation is now recognized as the single most important
ingredient in any modern economy.”
–The Economist
Innovation continues to be a top priority for leaders in all sectors of the global economy, yet actually making innovation happen remains a profound challenge for many organizations. What’s more, the new dynamics of a rapidly-changing, Web-enabled global marketplace are shifting how we think about innovation itself.
If you would like to better understand the current state of innovation thinking and practice, as well as the emerging trends that will shape the future of innovation, join some of the Web’s top innovation bloggers for the first-ever Innovation Bloggers Virtual Forum on April 26, 2007.
Here is the Forum line-up as of right now, and I’m adding more bloggers as we speak:
Morning Forum Roundtable (11 am EDT)
Renee Hopkins Callahan, IdeaFlow
Chuck Frey, InnovationTools
Jeffrey Phillips, Innovate on Purpose
Dave Pollard, How to Save the World
Afternoon Forum Roundtable (2 pm EDT)
Dominic Basulto, Endless Innovation
Sanjay Dalal, Creativity And Innovation Driving Business
Mark McGuinness, Wishful Thinking (JUST ADDED!)
Joyce Wycoff, Heads Up! on Organizational Innovation
If you’re interested in participating in the Forum (it’s totally free!), please be one of the first 20 commenters below to secure your invitation! If you’re a blogger and are willing to help us promote the Forum on your blog, I will demonstrate my appreciation by sending you an invite as well. Please be sure to provide a link back to this post.
This is a unique opportunity to participate in two outstanding conversations involving many of the blogosphere’s smartest innovation thinkers and practitioners. I hope you will be able to join us!
If you're new here, I hope you will consider subscribing to the P.I. Blog. Just click on this link to add it to your RSS reader. You can also receive e-mail updates by subscribing via the box located on the blog itself. Thanks for visiting!

Hi Jeff,
I remember meeting you at the American Creativity Association Conference last year, where you gave some great presentations. I’d love to participate in the Innovation Bloggers Virtual Forum and would be glad to promote the event on my blog. Actually, I have three blogs, so I could promote it on all three, and I could write about it in my next e-letter. I’ll be out of town in a rural area from tomorrow through March 25th, but hopefully I’ll be able to post from my blog during that time, depending on internet access. In any case, I am an innovation journalist, as well as an innovation consultant and executive coach, so I’ll be glad to write about it ASAP!

[…] Clear your calendar from any distractions on April 26. There’s only one pressing task that day: The Innovation Bloggers Virtual Forum at Principled Innovation. The virtual conference Liz Strauss hosted at Successful Blog last week gave all participants a shot in the cyber arm and a taste for more, and this next virtual event will likely fill that taste. […]

Fascinating to see how the invitation permeated blogspace.
Sorry–already committed during both time slots that day. Can I get on the list for early notification next time? And will someone post notes from this adventure?

Jeff - Nice batch of panels you’ve put together here, and thank you for putting something like this together - banding together in the Innovation space is what will help clear up the noise and point out the realities of what is significant and sustainable in Innovation.
If you are planning on setting up further panels, I’d be happy to assist. I’ve interviewed a number of people from literally around the world, and would be happy to invite them to participate. You can listen to the constantly growing collection of interviews and insights at www.BizTechTalk.com.
Good luck on this, and I hope to make the calls, but will see how the day shapes up.
Best,
Dan

Great initiative
I’ll be there, cause I’ve just threw the hat into the consulting arena here in Venezuela & LA as a specialist in innovation
