Tech Conference & Wikipedia Case update

February 11th, 2007

If you’re planning to attend ASAE & The Center’s Technology Conference this week, you know that the weather is threatening to be a major complicating factor. Precipitation is expected in the DC area, but none of the meteorologists appear to have a handle on exactly when or in what form it will arrive. Boy, aren’t they helpful?

For their part, ASAE & The Center staff have let us know that the conference will go forward on Tuesday morning, rain, snow or shine. I’ve taken a room at a hotel near the convention center for tomorrow night so I don’t get stuck out here in Reston. It isn’t my first choice, but that’s the way things go.

Given all of the uncertainty around the weather for the next 72 hours, I think it is best for hold off on our Wikipedia case conversation, which is currently set for Wednesday morning. Depending on how things go with the weather, it may be quite difficult for all of us to get around in the next few days, so it’s best to keep things simple. We can chat about the case at another time. As soon as I have a new date and time, I will post to the blog.
