Hello 2007!
January 3rd, 2007
After a challenging 2006, I’m very excited about the possibilities of 2007. As I mentioned in my last post, I have a few things brewing that I will share here as soon as it makes sense to do so. I think you’ll find them intriguing…am I piquing your curiosity? I hope so. Please stay tuned.
In the meantime, I just want to wish everyone a very happy new year! I hope your holidays were fantastic, and that you shared them with the people who bring joy and meaning to your world. Despite being sick for several days before Christmas, my holidays were quite fun. Meeghan, my wonderful wife, put together some of her delicious creations in the kitchen and Tom Donahue, my father-in-law, visited us from Florida between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. He is a terrific guy, and I’m very fortunate to have him and his daughter in my life.
Okay, enough with the mushy stuff. ;>) I’m really looking forward to blogging and podcasting for all of you this year. I want to thank you again for reading and listening to what I have to say. I hope you will accept the challenge to push back with your own thinking. It is time for all of us to engage with the important conversations that will help our associations and the association community as a whole advance with confidence toward a brand new set of opportunities. There is a brighter future on the horizon for our organizations, but only if leaders like you have the foresight, the insight and the personal fortitude to embrace it. As a P.I. Blog reader, I know you possess all three of these attributes. In 2007, you must be willing to use them. Will you?
Much more to come…
