Post-Hockey Amtrak Moblog
November 5th, 2006
Just a quick moblog from on board an Amtrak train on my way back to DC. I was in NYC this afternoon for my annual sojourn to my personal Temple of Hockey, Madison Square Garden. In each of the last six years, I have made the trip to The World’s Most Famous Arena for a NY Rangers game. It is certainly one of my most cherished sporting rituals.
Although the Rangers were defeated 4-3 in OT by Buffalo today, this result does not diminish my enthusiasm. For me, there is simply nothing like being at MSG for hockey. For pure excitement, nothing beats it. And besides, the Blueshirts still pick up a point for the OT loss and my beloved 6-2 Giants won their game!

Jeff, I am a huge Bears fan, but find it very hard that they will beat the Giants in the Meadowlands this Sunday evening…I have a feeling it will be a reverse outcome in comparision to the 1986 NFC Division Game at Soldier Field (I believe Sean Landeta, the punter, is still a name mentioned in Giants lore..)
