Join the drive to 200+ votes!
October 16th, 2006
WOW! I am incredibly excited to announce that my ChangeThis manifesto proposal has moved up to third place and I have P.I. Blog readers and my fellow bloggers to thank for it. Specifically, I really want to thank Ben Martin, Chuck Frey, Kevin Holland, Shawn Lea, Sue Pelletier and everyone who has helped spread the word about my proposal. Thanks guys! (BTW, if I’ve failed to mention your post about my manifesto here, you have my sincere thanks and a sincere apology for the omission as well. I hope you will share a link to your post as a comment below.)
Of course, the work is not done and I don’t want to get complacent. Right now, I am flirting with second place, but the bigger goal I want to achieve between now and November 2 (when voting closes) is crossing the 200 vote threshold. You see, I have no idea how the operators of the ChangeThis.com website determine which manifesto ideas they will accept for publication. I am thinking, therefore, that if my proposal passes the 200-vote mark, it will clearly demonstrate its appeal no matter where it finishes in the final popularity order. (I also happen to believe that 200 votes will put it in either second or third place, which would be fantastic!)
So, if you have already voted for or blogged on the proposal, I ask for your help in encouraging others to do the same. You can e-mail the proposal to friends and colleagues, and I hope you will encourage them to reach out to me directly with any questions. Anyone who is interested in participating in the collaborative effort to create the manifesto, should it be accepted for publication, can use the same e-mail link to reach me.
I cannot overstate the gratitude I feel toward everyone who has helped me move my proposal forward. Thank you so much for all you’ve done, and all you will do as we drive onward to 200+ votes! Of course, I will keep you posted on our progress.
