Late night potpourri
July 29th, 2006
Didn’t want to go four days without posting something, so I thought I’d share just a few quick items of interest, considering the hour:
+My Indy sessions went well. Thanks again to Carol Caldwell and Laura Frank of ISAE for all they did to make the meeting a great success.
+My pre-con session on innovation at ASAE & The Center’s Annual Meeting in Boston is now SOLD OUT. I’m very excited!
+We Have Always Done It That: 101 Things About Associations We Must Change, the book I have written with four of my good friends and association consulting colleagues using a blog, will be available in print during the upcoming Boston meeting. It will not be in the on-site bookstore, however, so if you’re interested in getting a copy, you’ll have to find one of us.
+Beginning to read a new book: The Origin of Wealth by Eric Beinhocker. It looks interesting, although it is 450 pages long. I hope to be posting some preliminary thoughts soon.
+In the next few weeks, I also plan to post more thoughts on radical simplicity, microinnovation, applying social media, rethinking association incentives and other issues If there are topics on which you would be especially interested in having me post, just send me an e-mail, and I’ll consider it.
More to come…
