In Indy today

July 25th, 2006

I’m in Indianapolis today, preparing to speak tomorrow under the Association Renewal banner to the Indiana Society of Association Executives. I’m honored to be the opening keynote speaker for ISAE’s annual meeting, addressing the generational opportunity emerging for the association community, not to mention our society. I’m actually doing three sessions at this meeting, two on the generations (the keynote and a follow-up concurrent on developing a generational renewal strategy) as well as my session on Google and innovation.

I’ve just been doing a mental tally of past presentations to societies of association executives (SAE) around the U.S., and by my count this will be the 18th different regional, state or local SAE with which I’ve worked in the last four years. One of the genuine pleasures of doing what I do is the opportunity to visit SAEs around the country and interact with the great association professionals who belong to them. I’ve met some truly fantastic people over the last four years, and I’m already looking forward to meeting new colleagues here tomorrow!

So how did it go? We made the mistake of not staying down for day two, so we missed you. Your topic sounded pretty intriguing. I am sure everyone enjoyed it and hopefully you’ll get some new readers!

[…] +My Indy sessions went well. Thanks again to Carol Caldwell and Laura Frank of ISAE for all they did to make the meeting a great success. […]
