TDOB #1: Shout out to my better half!

May 15th, 2006

Welcome, dear friends, to the Ten Days of Blog! I’m excited to be doing this for you, and I hope you are looking forward to much fun, interesting and provocative material from this blog over the next ten days.

It is a rain-soaked Monday morning here in the Nation’s Capital, and so I think I’ll ease in to TDOB, by wishing Meeghan, my wonderful wife of 14 years, a very happy birthday. It is not a milestone b-day for her this year, but she is having a bit of hard time with it nonetheless. As far as I am concerned, however, she need not worry about it at all. Meeghan is an awesome person who doesn’t receive or give herself nearly enough credit for all she does for others, especially yours truly. She is very special to me and I can say, in all seriousness, that I don’t really deserve her.

So, my darling Meggie (I may get into trouble for writing that here…;>), I hope you have a fantastic birthday today and many, many, many more in the years ahead. More than anything else I have been given, your love and companionship are the most blessed gifts of my life. Happy Birthday! I love you very much.
