Innovation Bloggers Virtual Forum on April 26

“Innovation is now recognized as the single most important
ingredient in any modern economy.”

The Economist

Innovation continues to be a top priority for leaders in all sectors of the global economy, yet actually making innovation happen remains a profound challenge for many organizations. What’s more, the new dynamics of a rapidly-changing, Web-enabled global marketplace are shifting how we think about innovation itself.

If you would like to better understand the current state of innovation thinking and practice, as well as the emerging trends that will shape the future of innovation, join some of the Web’s top innovation bloggers for the first-ever Innovation Bloggers Virtual Forum on April 26, 2007.

Here is the Forum line-up as of right now, and I’m adding more bloggers as we speak:

Morning Forum Roundtable (11 am EDT)

Renee Hopkins Callahan, IdeaFlow
Chuck Frey, InnovationTools
Jeffrey Phillips, Innovate on Purpose
Dave Pollard, How to Save the World

Afternoon Forum Roundtable (2 pm EDT)

Dominic Basulto, Endless Innovation
Sanjay Dalal, Creativity And Innovation Driving Business
Mark McGuinness, Wishful Thinking (JUST ADDED!)
Joyce Wycoff, Heads Up! on Organizational Innovation

If you’re interested in participating in the Forum (it’s totally free!), please be one of the first 20 commenters below to secure your invitation! If you’re a blogger and are willing to help us promote the Forum on your blog, I will demonstrate my appreciation by sending you an invite as well. Please be sure to provide a link back to this post.

This is a unique opportunity to participate in two outstanding conversations involving many of the blogosphere’s smartest innovation thinkers and practitioners. I hope you will be able to join us!

Jeff De Cagna

Jeff De Cagna is chief strategist and founder of Principled Innovation LLC, and a contrarian thinker on strategy, business models, governing and the future of associations.

  1. That should be interesting. I will try to participate.

  2. I’d like to participate in Roundtable 2 (due to the time difference). I am also happy to help promote the event on my blog.

    Kind regards,

    Florian

  3. Sounds like a very intreresting event. Do you have an agenda yet? I’d be happy to participate.

  4. Jeff:

I would certainly enjoy the opportunity to participate. Additionally, I will mention it on my blog and link back to this posting. Thank you for organizing such an interesting event!

  5. Thank you for organizing this event and giving an opportunity for us to participate. It will be an insightful discussion. I will promote this on my blog as well.

  6. Hi Jeff,

I remember meeting you at the American Creativity Association Conference last year, where you gave some great presentations. I’d love to participate in the Innovation Bloggers Virtual Forum and would be glad to promote the event on my blog. Actually, I have three blogs, so I could promote it on all three, and I could write about it in my next e-letter. I’ll be out of town in a rural area from tomorrow through March 25th, but hopefully I’ll be able to post from my blog during that time, depending on internet access. In any case, I am an innovation journalist, as well as an innovation consultant and executive coach, so I’ll be glad to write about it ASAP!

  7. Great idea, Jeff. I don’t consider myself an innovation blogger per se but would be very interested in participating. I’ll mention it on my blog.

  8. Would love to join the afternoon session from here in London.

  20. Jeff, just got your email. Sounds interesting and looks like a great group. Not sure if you’re still looking for folks, but I’ve always enjoyed chatting with Dave Pollard. I’ll check it out either way. Best of luck!

  21. Jeff – Nice batch of panels you’ve put together here, and thank you for putting something like this together – banding together in the Innovation space is what will help clear up the noise and point out the realities of what is significant and sustainable in Innovation.

If you are planning on setting up further panels, I’d be happy to assist. I’ve interviewed a number of people from literally around the world, and would be happy to invite them to participate. You can listen to the constantly growing collection of interviews and insights at http://www.BizTechTalk.com.

Good luck on this, and I hope to make the calls, but will see how the day shapes up.

    Best,
    Dan
